The Pomona Host Lions and other local Lions clubs are asking residents throughout the Pomona Valley for donations toward relief efforts for the victims of Superstorm Sandy. This horrible disaster has caused many losses to residents who live in the areas hit by Sandy, and once again, the Lions are one of the first to respond with funds and emergency personnel to assist. The Lions Clubs International Foundation has already given $200,000 and is asking all Lions clubs to help by collecting locally.
Unlike other organizations that help in these types of disasters, Lions International donates 100% of each dollar donated to the victims. None of the money is used for administration.
If you can donate, send a check, made out to Lions Clubs International Foundation (LCIF), to the Pomona Host Lions, PO Box 3085, Pomona, CA 91769. Designate on the check that the money is for Superstorm Sandy Relief. If you prefer, you can send your donation to the Lions club closest to you.
The charitable donations are tax deductible.
