These Stroke Symptoms You Should Never Ignore

In some ways, we expect our bodies to change as we get older.  There are certainly symptoms that are related to normal aging, however the following symptoms could be from a stroke, and should never be ignored.

The theme of these symptoms involves the word sudden.  For example, sudden numbness or weakness of the body, sudden vision changes, sudden problems with balance and walking, these could all be caused by a stroke.  If these symptoms do occur, please find emergency help immediately.

There is also a test that you can do while waiting for help.  It is called the F.A.S.T, which stands for Face, Arms, Speech, and Time.  Ask for a smile from the potential stroke victim, and observe if one side of the FACE drops.  Does one side of the arm drifts down when Can the person repeat a simple sentence without slurring their SPEECH? Finally, remember that TIME is critical, so if you observe any of the symptoms, again, call for emergency help immediately.
