Walnut Valley Educators Association Honors Retirees and Scholarship Recipients

The Walnut Valley Educators’ Association presented WVEA Scholarships to nine deserving students.  At the May 14th WVEA Representative Council meeting, nine children of WVEA members were presented with $500.00 scholarships to help with their continuing education.  The recipients include:  Brock Booth, Charles Cook, Thomas Freedman, Jordan Paul Harvey, Austin Johannsen, Christopher Pinto, Magdalene Shelton, Kendall Woken, and Victoria Yim.  Good luck to you all in pursuing your dreams.

We also honored twelve retiring members of the Walnut Valley Educators Association.  These hard-working, dedicated teachers will be missed by their colleagues and students.  Retiring teachers are Alex Scott Cassells, Bradley Chapman, Marsha Dickerson, Gayle Douglas, Patricia Finn, Jean Fujihara, Jon Goode, Sandy Harutunian, Claudia Huff, Lily Jacquot, Rita Puzo, and Dennis Thomsen.  WVEA wishes you all the best in your years of retirement.
