Head Coach Roddy Layton and the Diamond Ranch Panthers Varsity Football team are coming off a big win over El Rancho as they will travel to Chino Hills and play the Ayala Bulldogs this Friday night. The Panthers victory last Friday night saw the very first game ever to be played at the new Diamond Ranch Stadium located on the school's campus. Diamond Ranch came out early and scored two touchdowns in the first quarter. Quarterback Xavier Beltran connected on a 7-yard touchdown pass to Daniel Garcia for the first touchdown. The second touchdown came on a 5-yard pass from Beltran to William Bryan. The offense for the Panthers in the second quarter cooled off as the score remained 14-0 at the half. The Diablos came back in the third quarter to score om a score on a 35-yard touchdown run from Anthony Escareno. El Rancho trailed Diamond Ranch 14-7. On the Panthers ensuing drive, Beltran hit Donavan smith with a 79-yard touchdown pass and Diamond Ranch lead is 21-7. El Rancho scored yet again on a touchdown pass from quarterback Ryan Arauju to Aaron Escareno for the touchdown. El Rancho was trailing 21-14. The game was broken wide open in the third and fourth quarters as the Panthers went on to win the game 42-14. To view video highlights from the game visit the Sportscenetv.net website.
