Signal Outage at Diamond Bar Blvd and Mountain Laurel Expected to be Restored Shortly

Power has been restored to a flashing red light, and it is expected to be fully functioning by around 6:15 p.m.

The traffic signal at Diamond Bar Boulevard and Mountain Laurel lost power late this afternoon, but power has been restored, according to the city of Diamond Bar.

Southern California Edison was doing maintenance in the area and did not expect that the traffic light would be affected, according to Cecilia Arellano, a city spokeswoman. The power went out but has been restored to a red flashing light, with Sheriff's deputies providing onsite traffic control, she said.

A city-contracted maintenance crew is on the way to the intersection to get the signal back to it normal operation mode, expected to get it back to a working light by 6:15 p.m.
