I am in La Verne @ Foothill / Bradford, it felt like a car slammed into the home or a plane crashed, I have been through many quakes, I know I was on top center but it had to be a lot bigger than 2.6, I bet they upgrade it to a 3.3 to 3.5 easy, it was a quick 2 second jolt that felt like a 6.0 to 7.0, Cheers Rodney

The earthquake epicenter is in La Verne, Ca on Esparanza Street, just south of Jasmine Street & north Baseline Street. It was a Magnitude 2.6 & 2.2 miles beneath the surface. I lived La Verne all my life and it was very powerful like as if a GIANT was shaking your house!!

If this is the Claremont-La Verne Patch, and the earthquake's epicenter was in La Verne, shouldn't the little article actually mention, you know, La Verne?

Tommy is that you? I, also am a La Verne native and Rodney described it perfectly! We thought a plane took an emergency runway landing on the 210 freeway, right next to our house! Or, there was a VERY NEARBY explosion. 2.6 seems fairly accurate because the shake wasn't as harsh as the sound...Scariest thing we have felt or heard and have had to try to explain to our 6 year old.
