There's Still Time to Nominate Community Heroes

Nominations for the Community Hero Awards will be accepted in the senior, adult, and youth categories.

The deadline for nominations to the Los Angeles County Fair (LACF) annual Community Hero Recognition Program is Friday, June 20, 2014.

The LACF Community Hero Recognition Program is held in conjunction with Diamond Bar Day at the Fair, which this year lands on Thursday, September 11.

The daylong event aimed at honoring the community with a host of activities that include a Community and Business Expo, a parade, high school marching band competition, and local talent and entertainment performances.

Nominations for the Community Hero Awards will be accepted in the senior, adult, and youth categories. Also, in commemoration of 9/11, a special component will be added to the program to also honor any Diamond Bar residents who traveled to the World Trade Center, Pentagon and/or the Philadelphia Crash site to provide direct assistance following the tragedy.
