Rain Postpones Walnut Chinese New Year Festival

Walnut's plan for a Chinese New Year Festival Saturday have changed. Rain is expected this weekend so organizers pln to push it back to Feb. 9.

Mayor Mary Su sent out the following mesage:

Dear Friends:

Due to the weather forecast for rain this coming Saturday, January 26, it has been decided to postpone the Chinese New Year Festival previously scheduled for Walnut’s Creekside Park this Saturday and instead hold this Festival on Saturday, February 9, between 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM, again in Walnut’s Creekside Park.

All of us involved in organizing this great community event apologize for any inconvenience this schedule change may cause you, your family or friends, but we sincerely hope you will join us on Saturday, February 9^th , for a truly wonderful day of family fun.
