Diamond Bar Library To Close Within Days

Time is almost up for the 35-year-old building. A new building in an area easier to access will soon serve the community starting July 28.

Time is ticking down for the old Diamond Bar Library.

The small, unassuming building tucked between a fire station and a row of commercial centers has served the community for the better part of 35 years. But at 5 p.m. Friday, the Grand Avenue building will serve its final patrons, library officials said.

And 28 days later, a brand new, much larger library facility will open on the more easily accessible area of Copley Drive, Diamond Bar city officials said.
