Mt. San Antonio College Theater Program will stage its production of Sarah
Ruhl’s “Dead Man’s Cell Phone” today and Saturday at 8 p.m., in Mt. SAC’s Sophia B. Clarke Theater. A special Saturday
matinee performance will be given on Sunday at 2 p.m.
Winner of the Helen Hayes Award for Best
New Play, Sarah Ruhl’s comedy serves up some serious observations on the
loss of intimacy in our ever-more connected world. Anyone who has indulged
in nostalgia for the pre-digital age or dreamt of going “off-line” and
escaping into the woods will enjoy the issues that emerge in this modern
odyssey that indulges off-beat situations, whimsical observations, and
hilariously loopy dialogue.
Professor Alan Brooks directs this Mt. SAC production.
Tickets are $14 for general admission,
