Mt. SAC Production of 'Dead Man's Cell Phone' Hits Stage This Weekend

Shows start tonight.

The Mt. San Antonio College Theater Program will stage its production of Sarah Ruhl’s “Dead Man’s Cell Phone” today and Saturday at 8 p.m., in Mt. SAC’s Sophia B. Clarke Theater. A special Saturday matinee performance will be given on Sunday at 2 p.m.

Winner of the Helen Hayes Award for Best New Play, Sarah Ruhl’s comedy serves up some serious observations on the loss of intimacy in our ever-more connected world. Anyone who has indulged in nostalgia for the pre-digital age or dreamt of going “off-line” and escaping into the woods will enjoy the issues that emerge in this modern odyssey that indulges off-beat situations, whimsical observations, and hilariously loopy dialogue.

Theater Professor Alan Brooks directs this Mt. SAC production.

Tickets are $14 for general admission, $10 for seniors, students, and children 13 and under.

For tickets and more information, call the Performing Art Box Office at (909) 274-2050. Tickets may also be purchased online at www.tickets.mtsac.edu.
