Whittier City School District Board Member and Principal of Willowbrook Middle School Dr. Irella S. Perez University of Phoenix Southern California Campus will speak at an event hosted by the University of Phoenix in Diamond Bar.
The workdshop is scheduled from 5:30 - 8 p.m. on Sept. 27 and is meant to promote the school and education in general. University officials said Perez is set to share her philosophy of leadership.
“As a successful Latina, Perez is uniquely positioned to address leadership opportunities and challenges within the Hispanic community,” university officials said.
Attendees are encouraged to network with University of Phoenix faculty members and members of the community. This workshop is the second of a six-part series taking place bimonthly over the next year, officials said.
The event will be held at the University of Phoenix Diamond Bar Learning Center, 1370 S. Valley Vista Drive in Classroom 10.
