A maintenance project on water mains will affect traffic in La Puente.
Travel on Stimson Avenue between Rowland and Workman streets will be closed until at 8 p.m. tonight to all but residents, according to an alert the Industry Sheriff's station sent out.
The closure will be restricted to all travelers at certain points depending on the needs of the construction crews, officials said.
The water will be shut down temporarily for residents in the area starting at 4 p.m.
