DB Golf Course Seeks Weekday Bookings at Annual Open House

Diamond Bar Golf course's director of catering, Jennifer Flores, said she is seeking to boost the number of corporate and business rentals at the facility during the week.

Around 100 people gathered at the last night for an annual open house with casino games, music, and a tour of the facilities that Jennifer Flores, director of catering, said is seeking to attract more corporate, weekday customers.

"The event went really well," Flores said.

The event was co-sponsored by the San Gabriel Valley Regional Chamber of Commerce with hopes, Flores said, that the golf course might attract more corporate rentals of its banquet space.

"The last good year for corporate rentals was 2007-2008," Flores said.

The golf course still has weddings booked just about every weekend, but continues to seek ways to fill out bookings during the week.

"Things have dropped off over the last few years because of the economy," Flores said.

Tuesday night's event featured a showcase of the course's facilities, live music, casino games, and an appearance by the newly-crowned Miss Diamond Bar princess court.

The Diamond Bar golf course is a public course owned by Los Angeles County and managed by American Golf, which manages over 140 public, private, and municipal golf courses in the Los Angeles area, according to the company's website.
