Diamond Bar's Happy's Sports Grille Shuts its Doors

The landlord placed a letter on the bar's door alleging that the owners abandoned the Palomino Drive business.

Residents hoping to grab a cold one at Happy’s Sports Grille on Palomino Drive in Diamond Bar will have to find another place to hang out.

The bar recently shut its doors.

A notice dated March 20 on Happy’s door from Mary F. Stockwell, regional asset manager with landlord AP-Diamond Bar, states that it is believed the operators of the bar have abandoned the business.

“The rent on this property has been due and unpaid for (14) fourteen consecutive days and AP-DIAMOND BAR, LLC (Landlord) believes you have abandoned said real property,” Stockwell wrote in the letter.

The bar’s lease is set to terminate April 8.

On the Happy’s Grille Facebook page, operators of the Chino location announced in February that they had closed that particular bar but not Diamond Bar.

When a customer asked last week if the Diamond Bar location had closed, the operators answered “Done Deal Son!”
