Gas Prices Rise ... Again

Gas prices rise for a third day straight.

The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Los Angeles County rose today for the third consecutive day after falling for 35 consecutive days, increasing 1 cent to $4.196.

The average price rose one-tenth of a cent Tuesday and a half-cent Wednesday and is two-tenths of a cent more than a week ago, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service. However, it is 13.3 cents less than one month ago and 8.7 cents lower than one year ago.

The Orange County average price rose 1.5 cents today to $4.173, one day after a 37-day streak of decreases ended with a 1-cent increase. It is 1 cent more than a week ago, but 13.3 less than one month ago and 8.4 cents lower than one year ago.
