Gas Prices Rise ... Again

The average price of a gallon of regular gas in Los Angeles County rose Sunday for the 16th time in 17 days.

The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Los Angeles County rose Sunday for the 16th time in 17 days, increasing one-tenth of a cent to $3.832.

The average price, which increased for 14 consecutive days, fell one- tenth of a cent Friday, then rose two-tenths of a cent Saturday. The average price has increased 14 cents over the past 17 days, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service.

The average price is 2.6 cents more than one week ago, 5.4 cents higher than one month ago and 1.3 cents greater than one year ago.

The Orange County average price rose one-tenth of a cent to $3.808, one day after being unchanged. It is 2.7 cents more than one week ago, 7.4 cents higher than one month ago and six-tenths of a cent greater than one year ago.
