Senate Republican Leader Bob Huff (R-Diamond Bar) comments on a Drought Relief Plan introduced by the Governor and Democrat legislative leaders in his Capitol Comment for the week of February 17, 2014.
Senator Huff points out that Republican leadership was not invited to be part of the announcement, even though the drought impacts everyone in California. While Senator Huff is generally supportive of the Governor's plan, he also notes that it won't put unemployed people back to work.
He also believes the Governor and Democrats who control the State Legislature have missed numerous opportunities to build more water storage facilities, which would have alleviated the drought's impact.
Senator Huff serves as the Senate Republican Leader and represents the 29th Senate District covering portions of Los Angeles, Orange and San Bernardino Counties. Follow Senator Huff on Twitter @bobhuff99.
