Day-Tripping: April Garden Events

Whether you're experienced or a novice, garden shows and sales should be on every gardeners to-do list this spring.

When asked why garden shows are important, John Schoustra, president of Greenwood Daylily Gardens and presenter at the upcoming So Cal Hort meeting, said, "You can select and purchase a huge array of different plants and talk to experts that know about them."

Whether you are a newbie or well-weathered gardener, these April events are as enjoyable as they are educational. They offer the opportunity to pick up new ideas, plants and accessories not readily available in the typical retail environment.
