Cruisin' for Father's Day Ideas?
Car shows abound this Father's Day weekend around Diamond Bar.
Regarding fathers, Mark Twain once said, “When I was a boy of fourteen, my father was so ignorant I could hardly stand to have the old man around. But when I got to be twenty-one, I was astonished by how much he'd learned in seven years.”
Dads certainly do endure a lot over the years — slammed doors, dented cars, phone calls from the principal — Father's Day is a nice chance to say thanks for all they have weathered. Maybe you can do so this weekend by treating the father figure in your life to one of the many cool car shows nearby.

When/Where: 7 a.m.-4 p.m. this Saturday and Sunday at the Fairplex, 1101 West McKinley Avenue in Pomona
Why Go: Whether Dad is rebuilding an antique roadster in the garage or just a fan of cool cars in general, this show and swap meet should be a blast. Car enthusiasts can find many of the parts they are looking for from both swappers and vendors, folks can show off their pristine roadsters and hot rods, and spectators can see some really interesting vehicles up close.

Why Go: All are invited to a special service on Father's Day. There will be a car show, motorcycles, popcorn, snow cones, and guest speaker Ron McManus.

Why Go: The Orange County Mustang Club hosts this juried car show featuring 175 classic cars, live music, a beer and wine garden and more.
