Diamond Bar 4th of July Gets Mixed Reviews on Twitter

Those celebrating the Fourth of July in Diamond Bar had mixed reviews, from residents who spotted illegal fireworks to those who sat back and watched over the San Gabriel Valley from near the Diamond Bar Center.

Fourth of July in Diamond Bar received mixed reviews on Twitter Monday evening.

Kristen Bathan (@krrris10) said that the event had drawn a large crowd by 30 minutes before the fireworks began:

Heads up! Parking is nuts here at diamond bar hs. Tip: Bring beach chairs and just watch the show on the sidewalk. — 8:31 p.m.

Richard Wong (@mash101a) said illegal fireworks were going off "all over the place" around 9 p.m. Monday.

Walnut resident Rocello Banaga (@theDapperKid) was in attendance at Diamond Bar's annual fireworks show after Walnut earlier this year:

The fireworks were a complete fail. We are in Walnut. We had to watch fireworks in Diamond Bar! #epicfail. — 9:24 p.m.

Kristina Martinez (@krissamartinez) stepped away from the organized shows and kept an eye on fireworks throughout the valley from the Diamond Bar Center:

Went up to the diamond bar city center to watch the fireworks..so pretty seeing the night sky light up in red white and blue. — 9:27 p.m.

Mel Layesen (@MELayesen) was at Diamond Bar's 4th of July Blast but said the fireworks weren't what caught her attention:

The singer at the Diamond Bar fireworks show messed up the national anthem. Guess who's not invited back next year. #fail — 10:34 p.m.

As for the fireworks, the reviews were across the board.

One Twitter user (@onchmovement) found the show lackluster:

@itsmetherealyou the fireworks at diamond bar highschool was a weak .... You didn't miss out on anything — 11:55 p.m.

Grant Kwan (@Grantkwan) had the opposite reaction:

Fire works tonight at Diamond Bar Highschool was awesome man! Lucky for me I live in this country. — 12:12 a.m.
