Diamond Bar Community Foundation Raises Record Amount of Funds

Through its annual gala, the organization tops its previous silent auction total by $2,000.

Art, culture, and recreation programs in Diamond Bar will be receiving a huge boost in the near future, thanks to the Diamond Bar Community Foundation.

Organizers just finished calculating the amount raised during the DBCF’s annual gala, and it’s a big number.

“We made close to $25,000,” DBCF President Jody Roberto said. “In addition to wonderful sponsors who contribute generously to the DBCF, we made $2,000 more than usual on our silent auction, which was great. The items donated were wonderful and people were very generous.”

The gala, which had a mardi gras theme, was held November 12 at the Diamond Bar Center.

“With the non-profits in attendance, the gala really was an event for our community, with great representation from many Diamond Bar residents,” Roberto said. “I was very happy to see that.”
