Divers Search for Recording Device at San Dimas Boating Accident Site

Sheriff's officials hope that the device will give them insight into the accident that occurred Saturday afternoon.

Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department homicide detectives are still combing Puddingstone reservoir for clues in their investigation of a fatal accident that happened Saturday afternoon.

A boat and personal water craft collided that afternoon on the reservoir at Frank G. Bonelli Regional Park in San Dimas, killing the three women on the personal water craft.

The lake was closed Monday to boating and water activities as the paramedic diver deputies and Los Angeles County Lifeguard divers attempted to locate a recording device that had been mounted to the personal water craft. According to the Sheriff’s Department, the device might provide valuable information on why the accident occurred.
