Fire Stations Offering Free Sandbags

While supplies last, free sandbags and sand are available at Fire Station 119 and Fire Station 121.

Each household is limited to 25 sandbags, and residents must fill their own bags. They are also asked to bring their own shovels.

Sandbags are for low-flow protection during heavy rains or flooding, and they don’t guarantee a seal. Effective sandbags are half-full with sand or soil, with the tops folded down. They should be placed on their folded top, tightly next to each other, lengthwise and parallel to the direction of water flow.
