Gasoline Prices Rise Again in L.A., Orange Counties

The average price in Los Angeles County is $3.729 per gallon.

Gasoline prices rose in Los Angeles and Orange counties today for the 19th consecutive day.

In Los Angeles County, an overnight increase of one-tenth of a cent raised the average to $3.729, the highest price since Nov. 25.

The Los Angeles County average is 6 cents more than one week ago, 12.1 cents higher than a month ago and 39.3 cents greater than a year ago, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service. It has risen 18.7 cents over the past 19 days, including four-tenths of a cent on Monday, following 42 consecutive days of declines.

The Orange County average price also rose today for the 19th consecutive day following a 42-day streak of decreases. It increased overnight by two-tenths of a cent and now stands at $3.72, its highest amount since Nov. 24.

The Orange County average price is 6.1 cents more than one week ago, 14.6 cents higher than one month ago and 38.6 cents higher than a year ago. It has risen 20.8 cents over the past 19 days, including two-tenths of a cent on Monday.
