Get Out: Five Ideas for Your Weekend
From shiny motorcycles and poker to princess parties and dance; this weekend has it all.
Patchers, whether you are a pretty, pretty princess or a hardcore biker; a diehard poker player, or an elegant crafter, the bottom line is that you are going to have a good time this weekend.

When/Where: 6 p.m. this Friday at 20301 Holcroft Drive in Diamond Bar
Why Go: The football team is hosting a Texas Hold'em Poker Tournament and dinner to raise funds in preparation for the 2011 season. There will be a helpful poker tutorial before play for those new to the game.

Why Go: All the princesses in the land are invited to a fun princess party at the library. Miss Diamond Bar and her princess court will be in attendance. There will also be games, prizes, stories, and photos with Miss Diamond Bar. Princess dresses and tiaras are encouraged.

Why Go: This one-day crepe paper flower workshop, “Décor Flowers –Tulips,” will help participants learn how to transform colorful crepe paper into beautiful decorative tulips. This event is for students ages 16 and older. Students must bring their own glue gun and craft scissors.
Pricing: $32 due at registration time and $10 payable to the instructor on the day of the workshop to cover materials costs
When/Where: 10-5 p.m. this Sunday at Characters Sports Bar, 276 East 1st Street in Pomona
Why Go: There will be over 30 classes for cars and 8 for motorcycles at this show benefiting the Pomona Boys Club. Families can enjoy face painting, a clown booth, giveaways, raffles and vendors plus some amazing cars and bikes. Bands Jumping Jack Benny and Suicide Kings will also perform live.
Pricing: Registration fees are $25 for cars and trucks, $15 for low rider bicycles and $20 for motorcycles
