Get Out: Five Ideas For Your Weekend

Did you know you're just one golf swing away from a Camaro?

I'm going to be honest, this weekend is a chance to show off your skills. Namely, your singing, paintball, bowling, dancing and golfing skills. Give it your all.

Our goal is to make the Get Out planner as reliable as possible, but keep in mind, some events change at the last minute. We advise calling ahead just in case.

When/Where: 8 p.m. this Friday at The Grove Theatre, 276 E. 9th St., Upland

Why Go: Pitch-perfect Beatles tribute band Abbey Road performs live at this concert. The band is well known for their neat costumes and spot-on sound.

Pricing: $20-$25

When/Where: Gates open at 9 a.m. this Saturday at Haddicks, 15120 Valley Blvd., City of Industry

Why Go: This is the first ever car show at Haddicks and a stunning variety of pre-1976 muscle cars, hot rods, customs, Harleys, show trucks, Porsches, Volkswagens, race vehicles, nostalgia and funny cars will be on display. There will also be paint demonstrations, raffles, 50/50 drawings, barbecue, vendor booths, live music, carnival games and a paintball and airsoft shooting range.
Pricing: Free for spectators; registration $25 before July 9, $30 day of show, proceeds benefit the Industry Sheriff's Youth Activities League

When/Where: 5:30 p.m.-8 p.m. this Saturday at Chaparral Lanes, 400 W. Bonita Ave., San Dimas

Why Go: This fun bowl-a-thon will help support the San Gabriel Children's Center and the children and families they serve. In addition to bowling, there will also be a silent auction. Owing to limited space, organizers ask that attendees RSVP by sending an email  All are welcome.

Pricing: $10 per person; individual and team bowl-a-thon fundraising welcomed, but not required

When/Where: 8 p.m. this Saturday at the Fox Theater, 301 S. Garey, Pomona

Why Go: Sound Station Los Angeles features electronica dance performances by Vaski, Numbernin6, Antiserum and more. This show is for those 18 and older.

Pricing: $25-45

When/Where: 2 p.m.-8:30 p.m. this Monday at Los Serranos Country Club, 15656 Yorba Ave., Chino Hills

Why Go: Technically, this isn't a weekend event since it falls on a Monday, but it's still definitely worth mentioning as it is a great opportunity to support the football team. Coach Terry Roche will be the keynote speaker. There will be prizes for hole-in-one, closest-to-the-pin, teams and more. The hole-in-one prize is a 2011 Chevy Camaro. Proceeds will go to the football program and will also help student-athletes facing financial hardship. Tee and hole sponsorships are available.

Pricing: $150 per player, $500 per foursome $50 dinner only
