Get Out: Five Ideas For Your Weekend

Enjoy hot kimchi and a cool comedy show this weekend.

Technology has brought humanity so much joy. I'm thinking of course of "Double Dream Hands." To see more technological innovations that have made life better, besides Internet viral videos, check out this weekend's computer fair.

To meet someone who celebrates said videos, check out Daniel Tosh at his show in Anaheim.

Why Go: Check out cool cars of all makes and models and stick around to watch the classic "American Graffiti" projected onto a 16-foot screen. There will also be refreshments, music, raffles and more. A portion of the evening's proceeds will benefit charities selected by departments at Hibbard Chevrolet.

Why Go: Los Angeles-based non-profit Serving Group hosts this contest in which kimchi cooks compete for an event title and serve up fresh kimchi to attendees. The event will also include a kimchi-making booth where everyone can try to make the ancient cuisine; a performance by a traditional Korean percussion group; and an exhibition of various dishes made with kimchi. Those who wish to compete in the contest can register through the event's online form

Why Go: The LA Computer Fair features a huge inventory of computer and technology products at low show prices plus technology demos, seminars, new products, industry experts, and all kinds of fun toys for the technologically minded. This is the fair's 28th year. The first 2,000 people in get a free LA County Fair ticket. If you sign up for their VIP Email you can get $2 off admission plus entrance to exhibits and seminars.
