Get Out: Five Ideas For Your Weekend

From hot barbecue to sweet Danish treats, this weekend is delicious.

Start your weekend with an enthralling love story, then enjoy blues and barbecue followed by tasty Danish baked goods. Keep the "victorious" feeling going by heading to the Victoria Justice show and finish the weekend strong with Mariachi USA and fireworks.

Our goal is to make the Get Out planner as reliable as possible, but keep in mind, some events change at the last minute. We advise calling ahead just in case.

When/Where: 8 p.m. this Friday and Saturday, 2 p.m. this Sunday, with an additional evening show next Saturday, at the Covina Center for the Performing Arts, 104 N. Citrus Ave., Covina

Why Go: This musical tells the story of a doomed marriage, told in different points of view through sung monologues. Cathy begins by telling the story from the end of the relationship, the break up. Her voice echoes the first song's fragile melody. Then comes Jamie, flinging himself into the scene, and telling their story from the beginning, the heart-racing feeling of finally finding "the one." They continue this unique storytelling technique as their tragic love story intertwines, meeting on stage only once, at their wedding.

Pricing: $28
