1. NIGHTMARE...A HAUNTED ATTRACTION
Where/When: Pomona Fairplex, 1101 W. McKinley Ave., Pomona. Friday, October 21, and Saturday October 22, 7 to 11 p.m.

Why Go: Get ready for Halloween a little early at Nightmare...A Haunted Attraction. The event will feature five themed mazes filled with monsters, and plenty of vampires, zombies, and creepy clowns.

2. GET GOOSEBUMPS
Where/When: Brea Mall, Center Court, 1065 Brea Mall, Brea. Saturday, October 22, noon to 4 p.m.
Why Go: Watch as R.L. Stine’s wildly popular book series comes to life at the Brea Mall. Visitors can star in and share their own custom “Get Goosebumps” video, play the Goosebumps HorrorLand Wii game, and win prizes.

3. WASHINGTON PARK GROUNDBREAKING
Where/When: Washington Park, 21208 Washington Ave., Diamond Bar. Saturday, October 22, 9 a.m. to noon.
Why Go: Young Diamond Bar residents will have the opportunity to show their creative side during the event; those under the age of 15 can create designs for commemorative tiles, following the “Why I Love Parks” theme. The best ones might be selected for a stone wall that will be by the playground area.

4. NORTHMINSTER PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH ANNUAL RUMMAGE SALE
Where/When: 400 Rancheria Road, Diamond Bar. Saturday, October 22, 7:30 a.m. - 1:30 p.m.
Why Go: Do you love bargains? The annual rummage sale will be filled with them, as well as everything from household items to collectibles to clothing. Baked goods will also be available for purchase. Proceeds go back to the church’s ministries.
