1. CAL POLY POMONA’S 19th ANNUAL PUMPKIN FESTIVAL

Where/When: 4102 S. University Dr., Pomona. Saturday, October 15 and Sunday, October 16, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Why Go: Get ready for fall at this huge pumpkin extravaganza. Kids will love visiting the petting zoo and game booths, exploring the corn maze, and picking the perfect pumpkin in the patch.

2. HALLOWEEN WILD & GREEN EVERYTHING KIDS SWAP

Where/When: 3937 Schaefer Ave., Chino. Friday, October 14, 5:30 p.m.

Why Go: If you have a ton of gently-used maternity and kid clothes, swap it out for something new! Halloween costumes can be expensive, so pick up a new-to-you outfit in the special Halloween area.

Pricing: $6 at the door, as well as items to swap

3. OKTOBERFEST AT ALPINE VILLAGE 

Where/When: 833 W. Torrance Blvd., Torrance. Friday, October 14 and Saturday, October 15, 6 p.m. to midnight (adults only); Sunday, October 16, 1 p.m. to 6 p.m (Family Day).

Why Go: Celebrate the German way with bratwurst, Oom-pah-pah music, and the chicken dance.  

Pricing: $20 Friday and Saturday, $5 Sunday

4. BRAHMA BOOSTER BINGO

Where/When: 21400 Pathfinder Road, Diamond Bar. Saturday, October 15, doors open at 4 p.m., pre-early bird games at 5 p.m.

Why Go: Support Diamond Bar High and have fun at the same time. The payout for each Bingo won during regular games is $250, with specials and flash board games varying.
