Get Out This Weekend

Snow comes to Diamond Bar, and it's the 1970s again in Glendora.

With the weekend right around the corner, here’s a guide to some events you might want to check out.

1. WINTER SNOW FEST

Where/When: Pantera Park, 738 Pantera Dr., Diamond Bar. Saturday, January 14, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Why Go: Winter comes to Diamond Bar at the annual Winter Snow Fest. Pantera Park will feature snow hills, a snow play area, craft and game booths, food, and entertainment.

2. NIGHT FEVER BEE GEES TRIBUTE AND ABBA-MANIA

Where/When: Haugh Performing Arts Center, Citrus College, 1000 W. Foothill Blvd., Glendora. Saturday, January 14, 8 p.m.

Why Go: Do you miss the music of the 1970s? Reminisce during the Night Fever Bee Gees Tribute and ABBA-Mania concert. Two concerts in one, both acts include a live band, choreography, and costumes.

3. RIVER NORTH CHICAGO DANCE COMPANY

Where/When: Cerritos Center for the Performing Arts, 18125 Bloomfield Ave., Cerritos. Friday, January 13, 8 p.m.

Why Go: This contemporary, award-winning dance company performs jazz-based dances with upbeat music.

4. CHINESE NEW YEAR FAMILY CULTURAL CELEBRATION

Where/When: Monrovia Public Library, 321 S. Myrtle Ave., Monrovia. Saturday, January 14, 2 to 3 p.m.

Why Go: Kids (and adults!) will enjoy learning about the Chinese New Year while dancing, listening to stories, making crafts and eating traditional treats.
