With the weekend right around the corner, here’s a guide to some events you might want to check out.
1. PUTTIN’ ON THE HITS
Where/When: Mt. San Antonio College, Sophia B. Clark Theater, 1100 N. Grand Ave., Walnut. Friday, March 9, 7:30 p.m., and Saturday, March 10, 3 p.m. and 7:30 p.m.

Why Go: In this annual event, Mt. SAC’s students, faculty, staff and trustees all take to the stage to lip synch to hits from today and the past. This fundraiser has raised thousands and thousands of dollars for student scholarships.
Pricing: $20. $15 for students and seniors during matinee performance

2. PLANET QUEST
Where/When: Mt. San Antonio College, Randall Planetarium, 1100 N. Grand Ave., Walnut. Friday, March 9, and Saturday, March 10, 7 p.m. and 8:30 p.m.
Why Go: Throughout March, the planetarium will present programs about the solar system on Fridays and Saturdays. This weekend, Planet Quest will take visitors on a tour of everywhere from the rings of Saturn to Jupiter’s moons.
Pricing: $6 general admission, $4 for children and students
3. FOOD TRUCKS AT SAN DIMAS HIGH
Where/When: San Dimas High School, faculty parking lot, 800 Covina Blvd., San Dimas. Saturday, March 10, 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Why Go: This fundraiser for the San Dimas High School band will feature food trucks like Truck Norris, Waffles de Liege, The Slummin’ Gourmet, Ludo Truck, Bool, and Rebel Bite. Be sure to bring a blanket or chair, and leave outside food and drinks, alcohol, and pets at home.
Pricing: $2 entry fee, $1 for students, children five and under free.
