Get Out This Weekend: Hit Up Food Trucks, or Go For a Run

Here are some fun events taking place in Diamond Bar and Walnut this weekend.

With the weekend right around the corner, here’s a guide to some events you might want to check out.

1. WHEEL FOOD FEST AND PRE-RACE SHOWCASE

Where/When: Walnut High School, 400 Pierre Road, Walnut. Saturday, March 3, 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Why Go: Get ready for Sunday’s WVUSD 5K by hitting up this food truck festival. The Buttermilk Truck, The Lime Truck, The Grilled Cheese Truck, and more will be on hand. Participants in the 5L and fun run can also pick up their race bibs, or last minute sign-ups can register.

Pricing: $2 admission, children five and under free. Food and beverages are extra.

2. WVUSD 5K/1K FUN RUN/WALK

Where/When: Diamond Bar High School, 21400 Pathfinder Road, Diamond Bar. Sunday, March 4, 7 a.m.

Why Go: This annual event raises much-needed funds for the Walnut Valley Unified School District, from reading materials to teacher grants. After all of the races are done at 9:30 a.m., awards will be announced and prizes distributed. For more information, click here.

3. STAR TALES

Where/When: Mt. San Antonio College, 1100 N. Grand Ave., Walnut. Friday, March 2 and Saturday, March 3, 7 p.m. and 8:30 p.m. 

Why Go: Star Tales explores the world of stars, constellations, and planets. Attendees will learn stories about the stars and how to see them from home.

Pricing: $6 general admission, $4 students and children.
