It's Superfood, Part 2: Goji Berries

Superfoods like Goji berries can be a helpful addition to your daily diet to keep you mentally healthy and sharp.

Chewing on these berries has wonderful health properties that any Chinese native already knows about.

Key Health Benefits are:

  • Mood-lifting
  • Eye health
  • Memory preservation

These berries contain "good" sugars — polysaccharides — that, according to GenesisTody.com, have are involved in enhanced communication between cells of the body.

Goji can also be found as a juice — mixed with cranberry, it is delicious, too. The warning is, as with all juices, the amount you need is not 8-12 ounces. A small shot of Goji juice or a small handful of the dried berries in your oatmeal will do the trick.

For pure superfoods, I have found Genesis Today to offer the best product. You can find it online or at stores like Mother's Market & Kitchen, which has a store coming to Brea this summer.
