Offshore Winds Bring the Heat to Diamond Bar

Expect a high of 99 degrees Thursday

The National Weather Service is warning that offshore winds will bring hot temperatures to the San Gabriel Valley Thursday.

It is expected to reach 99 degrees in Diamond Bar tomorrow, with clear skies and a low of 63 at night. During the day, an east northeast wind around 5 mph will become west southwest. Friday will be sunny, with a high of 91 and a calm wind, and Saturday will also be sunny, with 80 degrees the expected high.

According to the National Weather Service, the combination of offshore winds, hot temperatures, and lowering humidities will bring heightened fire weather concerns to the area. A red flag warning will be issued if winds exceed 25 mph and the humidity drops below 15 percent.
