Ponzi Hearing Scheduled for Wednesday
Three women are charged with operating the Ponzi scheme out of Diamond Bar
Three local women charged with operating a Ponzi scheme in Diamond Bar will be arraigned Wednesday morning in Pomona.
Eva Perez, 51, Juliana Menefee, 50, and Maricela Torres, 41, are each facing up to 13 years in state prison if convicted of running the scheme that investigators say brought in close to $14 million.
The hearing was delayed after the wrong Eva Perez was brought from state prison to the Pomona Superior Courthouse August 4.
