READER'S CHOICE HONOREE: Sycamore Park

When it comes to a spot where they can spend some staycation time, Diamond Bar has chosen .

The park officially got 33 percent of the vote, beating out two golf courses, a water park and a comedy club who also received votes.

It has been named one of the city’s favorite parks. City officials recently celebrated a number of renovations.

According to information provided by the city, it was recently improved with decomposed granite. It includes a hiking trail just over a half mile long.

Located at 22930 E. Golden Springs Drive, the park is made up of four developed acres and 50 undeveloped acres. It has a baseball field, barbecues, picnic shelters with four tables, uncovered picnic tables, tot lot, restrooms and 70 parking spaces.

It starts in the undeveloped portion of the park south of the lower parking lot, officials said.

Diamond Bar residents have a love of nature.
