The Big Meow to Help Cats and Their Owners
For the month of September, the Inland Valley Humane Society will offer free spaying and neutering for 300 cats
This month, the Inland Valley Humane Society and Pet Connections Inc. are hosting The Big Meow, a no-cost spay and neuter program for owned, free-roaming domesticated cats.
The goal of The Big Meow is to reduce overpopulation.
Appointments must be made by visiting the Inland Valley Humane Society at 500 Humane Way, Pomona. There is enough space for 300 cats, with a limit of three per household. Cats must be between the ages of four months to seven years. Owners have to live in the society’s contracted cities (Chino, Chino Hills, Claremont, Diamond Bar, La Verne, Montclair, Ontario, Pomona, San Dimas, West End, San Antonio Heights, and Mt. Baldy) and show proof of residency.

In addition to being spayed or neutered, the cats will also be micro-chipped, and given free flea and tick control applications and vaccinations, including FVRCP and rabies, to bring each cat current on immunizations.
