We Asked, You Answered: How Safe Do You Feel in Diamond Bar?

Many readers responded to this week's question, saying that they felt very safe in town.

Several readers responded to this week’s Question of the Week: “How safe do you feel in Diamond Bar?” 

Dave Zaccagnino wrote, “I feel EXTRAORDINARILY safe in Diamond Bar. Of course, sleeping with two loaded shotguns under the bed helps, but even without my personal arsenal, Diamond Bar is indeed a (generally speaking) VERY safe city.”

Trisha Bowler said she “loves her neighborhood,” and feels that “DB is one of the safest cities anywhere.”

“My son goes walking after dark and carries a big stick,” she wrote. “Not for two legged animals but in case he runs into any mean four legged ones such as coyotes.”

Martin Cervantes said that he felt safe, but “the Sheriff’s need to stop ticketing residents in their sneaky speed traps around the city and go after real criminals that steal computers from Diamond Bar schools and people that grow pot in their homes. Quit ticketing soccer moms and start patrolling at night for criminals stealing cars.”

Jessica Willis, who said she moved to Diamond Bar because of the low crime rate, disagreed.

“The only thing I have to say to Martin is stop deserving the tickets and they will stop issuing them,” she wrote.
