Two readers responded to this week’s Question of the Week: “What do you want to see happen in Diamond Bar in 2012?”
Dave Zaccagnino would like something done about traffic lights in the city. He wrote, “I would LOVE to see somebody with an I.Q. greater than 25 program the traffic lights on Diamond Bar Blvd. so that traffic flows better. I cannot tell you how many times I've been on Diamond Bar Blvd. (either north- or south-bound) where the light stops dozens, if not hundreds, of cars so that either no cars (or just one or two) can join the log jam. I know we can't keep cars waiting for an hour, but if there are hundreds of cars on Diamond Bar Blvd, let those none or one or two cars wait. 'The good of the many outweigh the needs of the one or the few.' Especially when it comes to $4/gallon gas and pollution and congestion on Diamond Bar Blvd!!”
JORDANS wants new businesses to come to town. “I would like to see the gas station finished on DB Blvd. It is an eyesore!! I would also like a market to replace Ralphs and restaurants to replace all of those that have closed. I guess I might as well ask for a winning lottery ticket, too.”
The question is still open; share your thoughts in the comments section below.
