College Admission Seminar - All about UC admission

"UC admission seminar led by former UC Berkeley admission reader"

FLEX College Prep proudly presents a seminar providing up-to-date insider information about the college admissions process for high school students.  The seminar aims to demystify the process, provide reliable information, and help students and parents develop a successful college admission or application strategy.

The seminar will be presented by Danny Byun and Rachel Ann Hagan.  Danny Byun is a Chief of counseling services at FLEX and helped many students to achieve their college dream.  Rachel is an associate counselor and a former UCBerkeley Admission Reader.

Our goal is to empower students and families with information that can be used to plan for college admissions and to manage the stress associated with this process.  

Some of the topics we aim to cover include: 

·         UC Admission: Changes and Trends

·        What you need to know about UC Admission

·         What's more important: grades or extracurricular activities?

·         Why isn't a 4.0+ GPA and 2400 SAT score a guarantee of admission to top schools?  

·         Explaining "who gets accepted," and "why they got in "or "did not get in"

·         Transfer strategy from community college to UC or  private colleges
