The Getty Villa and Santa Monica

We'll start our day with lunch and shopping on your own at the world-famous Santa Monica Third Street Promenade, known for its weekly farmers markets, fabulous dining, terrific shopping and engaging street performers. After our two hour stay we'll drive to the Getty Villa located atop the hills of the Pacific Palisades with a magnificent view of the Pacific Ocean. The Getty Villa hosts Jean Paul Getty's collection of ancient Greek, Roman, and Etruscan art and artifacts, along with extensive gardens inspired by ancient Rome. After a brief introduction to the Villa, you are free to explore the Getty Villa on your own.
