The Junior Fair Board of Fairplex, which includes representatives from Diamond Bar and Diamond Ranch high schools, this week collected items for Operation USA’s typhoon relief efforts for the Philippines.

More than 4,100 items were collected, including hygiene products, first-aid supplies, baby bottles and flashlights. The JFB is a leadership program for area high school students overseen by The Learning Centers at Fairplex, the educational arm of the organization.

Members of the JFB packed the donations in boxes on Tuesday, Nov. 20, which were then given to Operation USA.
