Southern California Edison Offers Scholarships for High School Seniors

The deadline for the $40,000 scholarships is Friday for students living in areas serviced by SCE.

Southern California Edison reminded high school seniors today that the deadline for applying for its Edison Scholars Program -- 30 scholarships for up to $40,000 each are awarded -- is Friday.

Applicants must live in or attend school in an area serviced by SCE, plan to study science, technology, engineering or math in college and have a GPA of 2.8 or better.

Further details are available online at www.scholarsapply.org/edisonscholars.

Scholarship recipients will be announced in April. Those awarded scholarships may also be eligible for summer internships at SCE after their second year of college.

Amazing how Edison has money for scholarships but claims poverty when it comes to requesting rate increases. They also cannot afford to keep their equipment maintenance up nor maintain their power plants. What a horrible company. Its management belongs in jail.
