Bullock, Nobles Roll Past Baldwin Park 58-30

BALDWIN PARK - The Nogales High School boys’ basketball team evened  its league record as it easily dispatched the Baldwin Park Braves 58-30 in a Valle Vista contest Friday evening.  Nogales dropped its opener to Wilson 44-39 last Wednesday.

Andrew Bullock led the way for the Nobles, recording a double-double (28 points, 15 rebounds), while anchoring the defense with three blocks and two steals.  Justin Roque tallied 10 points and two assists, while Sean Jones added eight points and seven rebounds in the victory.

After Roque scored the first points of the game, the Braves’ William Trinidad would answer with five straight points to take a quick 5-2 lead.  Trinidad would score all 10 of the Braves’ first quarter points, as Nogales would take a 14-10 lead to end the first quarter.
