Annual Support Campaign For Victims Of Domestic Violence Starts up in October

The Diamond Bar Kaiser Medical Offices facility will serve as one of the collection sites for donated clothing and other items.

Starting on October 1, Kaiser Permanente and several local congressional representatives have organized a collection drive for local victims of domestic violence. The event coincides with Domestic Violence Awareness Month, which takes place in October.

Organizers are asking for slightly worn garments for women and children, household cleaning products, school supplies and even used cell phones, all of which will be donated to domestic violence survivors in shelters throughout the San Gabriel Valley.

Rep. Judy Chu, D-Pasadena and Rep Grace Napolitano, D-El Monte, spoke Monday about the importance of supporting domestic violence survivors.
