Area Gang Activity Lands Man in Hospital

A man shot in a gang-related attack Monday in Pomona's Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial Park was hospitalized in serious condition, police said.

The shooting at or near South White and West Lexington avenues occurred about 2:40 p.m., Pomona police Lt. Ronald McDonald said.

Nearby Garey High School was temporarily locked down during the investigation, and police stopped a possible suspect who was later let go, he said.

The victim, whose name was unavailable, was taken to County-USC Medical Center, McDonald said.

The shooting appeared to be gang-related, he said.

"The victim was Hispanic and the suspect was black," McDonald said.

A witness reported multiple shots being fired.

Black shoots a Mexican. No one cares. Only if a White shoots a Black does anyone care. Really sad, isn't it. Thank a liberal.

Don't think it matters who was shot........everyone cares. Liberalism has nothing to do with what's going on in Pomona. The Mexican Mafia has control of the area and local law enforcement can't quell it. There are other gangs involved too, but the Mexican Mafia is the most prominent. What's been happening in Pomona is slowing creeping into the surrounding communities. We are asking for everyone's help in cleaning up Pomona. Check out our FaceBook page: POMONA, LET'S TAKE OUR HOMETOWN BACK.

I was referring to the shooting referred to in the attached article which made all the major news outlets, and the one mentioned in this article, which, to my knowledge, only made the Patch. The race of the shooter and victim is very important to liberals. http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2012/11/30/jordan-davis-teen-loud-music-trayvon-martin_n_2217444.html
