Arraignment for Walnut Woman Accused of Fatally Stabbing Husband Postponed

Socorro Mora, 45, appeared in Pomona Superior Court Thursday, but her court date was pushed back.

A planned arraignment for a Walnut woman accused of fatally stabbing her husband has been postponed until April 3.

Socorro Mora, 45, appeared in Pomona Superior Court Thursday, but her court date was pushed back, the third postponement since a judge in October 2012 ordered her to stand trial for murder.

Mora was arrested Oct. 19, 2011 and charged with murdering her estranged husband George Mora at his Brookside Court home in Walnut.  The father of four was found dead from multiple stab wounds minutes after Socorro Mora called the Los Angeles Sheriff’s Department to report a domestic disturbance at the home.
