A fire damaged a fast food restaurant in Industry today, but no one was hurt, authorities said.
The fire at Duke's Burgers, 14350 Valley Blvd., was reported at 5:16 a.m., said county fire dispatcher Rey Dong.
Flames burned through the roof of the single-story building, and firefighters went into a "defensive mode," pouring water onto the flames from outside the structure. They appeared to have extinguished most of the fire after about an hour.
Crews doused hot spots, and the fire was declared out at 8:32 a.m., the fire department reported.
The cause of the fire was under investigation. A damage estimate was not immediately available.
