Burglaries, Thefts, and a Purse Snatching in Recent Crime

A rundown of crimes reported in Diamond Bar, Walnut, and the City of Industry

Vehicle burglaries, petty thefts, and resdential break-ins were among the crimes most reported in Diamond Bar, Walnut and the City of Industry from Jan. 8-17.

Crimes reported also included some bicycles stolen, a couple of assaults, and a purse snatching.

DIAMOND BAR:

Wednesday, Jan. 16

  • Vehicle burglary – reported at 7:45 a.m. in the 20800 block of Golden Springs Drive.
  • Vehicle burglary – reported at 2:40 a.m. in the 24000 block of Highcrest Drive.

Tuesday, Jan. 15

  • Petty theft, shoplifting – reported at 7:40 p.m. in the 200 block of S. Diamond Bar Boulevard.
  • Petty theft of auto parts and accessories – reported at 4 p.m. in the 2800 block of S. Diamond Bar Boulevard.
  • Grand theft – reported at 11 a.m. in the 21400 block of Cold Springs Lane.

Monday, Jan. 14

  • Residential burglary – reported at 1 p.m. in the 3500 block of Castle Rock Road.

Sunday, Jan. 13

  • Grand theft – reported at 2 p.m. in the 23800 block of Minnequa Drive.
  • Strong-arm robbery – reported at 2 a.m. in the 300 block of Navajo Springs Road. 

Saturday, Jan. 12

  • Petty theft – reported at noon in the 700 block of Grand Ave.

Friday, Jan. 11

  • Vehicle burglary – reported at 4:40 p.m. in the 21000 block of Golden Springs Drive. 
  • Residential burglary – reported at 9:45 a.m. in the 3500 block of Crooked Creek Drive.
  • Residential burglary – reported at 9:30 a.. in the 21600 block of Glen Eak CV.

Thursday, Jan. 10

  • Burglary, other structure – reported at 7:30 p.m. in the 1300 block of S. Diamond Bar Boulevard. 
  • Vehicle burglary – reported at 5:30 p.m. in the 20800 block of Golden Springs Drive.
  • Grand theft, purse snatching – reported at 8:32 a.m. in the 21900 block of Golden Springs Drive.
  • Assault, non-aggravated – reported at 7 a.m. in the 22800 block of Hilton Head Drive.

Wednesday, Jan. 9

  • Vehicle burglary – reported at 10 p.m. in the 23500 block of Coyote Springs Road. 
  • Vehicle burglary – reported at 5:30 p.m. in the 20800 block of Golden Springs Road.
  • Grand theft – reported at 11 a.m. in the 22700 block of E. Golden Springs Drive.

  • Vehicle burglary – reported at 1:54 a.m. in the 20600 block of Snow Creek Drive.

  • Residential burglary – reported at 10 a.m in the 19800 block of Skyline Drive.

  • Residential burglary – reported at 2 p.m. in the 19700 block of Vista Hermosa Drive.

Monday, Jan. 14 

  • Vehicle burglary – reported at 1:08 p.m. in the 900 block of Winding Brook Lane.
  • Vehicle burglary – reported at 12:30 p.m. in the 20400 block of Collegewood Drive.

Sunday, Jan. 13

  • Burglary, other structure – reported at 7:17 a.m. in the 300 block of Lemon Creek.

Saturday, Jan. 12

  • Aggravated assault, assault with a deadly weapon – reported at 4:37 p.m. in the 18800 block of Amar Road. 

Wednesday, Jan. 9

  • Grand theft vehicle – reported at 6 p.m. in the 20500 block of Fuero Drive.
  • Petty theft – reported at midnight in the 18800 block of Amar Road.

Tuesday, Jan. 8 

  • Grand theft – reported at 9 p.m. in the 20700 block of Carrey Road.
  • Residential burglary – reported at 8:32 p.m. in the 400 block of Camino de Teodoro.
  • Petty theft – reported at 10 a.m. in the 1100 block of N. Grand Ave.
  • Petty theft, bicycles – reported at 10 a.m. in the 1100 block of N. Grand Ave.
  • Assault, non-aggravated – reported at 8:20 a.m. in the 1100 block of N. Grand Ave.

CITY OF INDUSTRY

Saturday, Jan. 12

  • Assault, non-aggravated, domestic violence - reported at 10:33 a.m. in the 100 block of Turnbull Canyon Road.
  • Grand theft vehicle - reported at 10:30 a.m. in the 1600 block of Azusa Ave.

Friday, Jan. 11

  • Grand theft vehicle - reported at 4:30 p.m. in the 17500 block of Castleton St.
  • Grand theft vehicle - reported at 3 p.m. in the 1600 block of S. Azusa Ave.
  • Grand theft vehicle - reported at 2:30 p.m. in the 100 block of S. Hacienda Boulevard.

So this sounds like a good reason to keep the proposed NFL stadium OUT of Southern California.
